The Experience
Grand Cayman is one of the easiest Caribbean destinations to do well: beautiful water, polished resorts, excellent restaurants and memorable marine experiences. This itinerary uses Seven Mile Beach as the base so most days feel effortless, while still making room for the island’s signature North Sound excursion and a special Rum Point evening. One signature experience per day, generous beach time, and memorable dinners without over-scheduling the island.

Day by Day
Day 1 : Arrival + Seven Mile Beach
Settle in, then start with a signature dinner.
Morning
Fly to Grand Cayman — choose a morning nonstop when available so you can be on the beach by mid-afternoon.
12:30 PM
Arrive at Owen Roberts International Airport — clear immigration and transfer to Seven Mile Beach. Allow 20–30 minutes for the drive.
2:00 PM
Check in and decompress — drop bags, change and spend the afternoon at the pool or beach. Avoid adding an excursion today.
7:00 PM
Beach walk to The Ritz-Carlton — if staying at The Westin, enjoy a relaxed walk along Seven Mile Beach before dinner.
8:00 PM
Dinner at Blue by Eric Ripert — refined seafood-focused tasting menus in an elegant setting. Best for adults, couples and older teens comfortable with a longer fine-dining experience.
Insider Note : Make this the culinary splurge of the trip. Reserve well in advance — Blue by Eric Ripert fills quickly and has seasonal closures. Confirm it is operating on your exact travel dates.
Day 2 : Spa + Rum Point Evening
Slow morning, memorable night.
11:00 AM
Spa time — schedule a group spa block at the resort. Let the rest of the party enjoy the pool or beach.
1:00 PM
Lunch and free afternoon — keep lunch casual and spend the afternoon swimming, paddleboarding or relaxing.
5:15 PM
Transfer to Camana Bay — head to the dock with time to spare for the evening ferry.
6:00 PM
Water taxi to Rum Point — the boat ride makes the evening feel like an experience rather than simply a dinner reservation.
7:30 PM
Dinner Upstairs at Kaibo — a special-occasion meal on the sea-view veranda. Adults: excellent for a celebratory dinner. Families: best with older children who enjoy a longer meal.
Late Evening
Return by water taxi — reconfirm the last return sailing when booking.
Insider Note : Reconfirm both Upstairs at Kaibo and the water taxi schedule before departure. Both have seasonal variations and the evening falls apart without either one.
Day 3 : Private Catamaran Adventure
The must-do Grand Cayman day.
Morning
Sleep in and have an easy breakfast. Do not rush this morning. Hydrate, pack reef-safe sun protection and bring a dry layer for the ride back.
12:45 PM
Transfer to the yacht-club dock — arrive early to meet the captain and review the route.
1:30–5:30 PM
Private 4-hour catamaran — Stingray City Sandbar, a reef snorkel and Starfish Point. A private charter is especially worthwhile for families or groups because you control the pace and time at each stop.
5:30 PM
Return to resort — shower, change and keep the evening flexible.
Evening
Casual dinner — choose an easy beachfront or resort dinner after the boat day rather than another formal reservation.
Insider Note : Book the private catamaran first — especially for school breaks and holiday periods. This is the day the itinerary is built around.
Day 4 : Resort Day + Beach Dinner
No agenda until sunset.
Morning
Pool and Seven Mile Beach — sleep in, claim loungers and enjoy the resort. This is the day to do almost nothing.
Midday
Optional water sports — paddleboard, kayak or snorkel from shore only if the group wants more action.
Afternoon
Free time — nap, spa, shop in Camana Bay or stay at the beach.
6:00 PM
Toes-in-the-sand dinner — reserve a private beachfront dinner through The Westin. Ideal for birthdays, anniversaries and milestone trips. Confirm setup, menu and weather policy in advance.
After Dinner
Nightcap or dessert — one drink at the resort, a beach walk or an early night before departure.
Insider Note : Protect this day from extra excursions. The resort day is what makes the overall pace feel like a luxury trip rather than a busy one.
Day 5 : Easy Morning + Departure
Leave without feeling rushed.
Morning
Breakfast and final swim — one last stretch of Seven Mile Beach. Leave time to shower and pack.
Late Morning
Check out — settle the hotel bill and confirm airport transportation.
3 hours before flight
Depart for the airport — allow extra time during weekends and peak travel periods.
Afternoon
Fly home — end the trip rested rather than squeezing in one last excursion.
After Dinner
Nightcap or dessert — one drink at the resort, a beach walk or an early night before departure.
Insider Note : Don’t add a last-minute excursion on departure day. A relaxed exit is part of what makes the trip feel complete.
