If you travel often — whether for work or with your family — you know your luggage can make or break a trip.

After trying a few options, I keep coming back to Away.

The compression panel helps maximize space. Separate compartments keep things contained. It’s easy to stay organized, even on longer trips.

I also always use packing cubes alongside it. The Away cubes fit perfectly, but honestly I also use inexpensive ones from Amazon and they work just as well. The brand of cube matters less than just having a system.

One cube per person. One cube for toiletries. Everything has a place before you leave, and unpacking takes five minutes when you arrive.

Holds Up Over Time

Foldable Travel Bag I always bring a lightweight foldable bag for souvenirs, overflow on the way home, or day trips to the beach or a national park. It takes up almost no space on the way out and earns its place every single time on the way back.

Is It Worth the Price?

Away carry-ons sit in the mid-range price point — not the cheapest option out there, not the most expensive either.

For what you get — the durability, the design, the organization, and the way it holds up over years of real use — I think it’s worth it. I’ve spent less on bags that needed to be replaced within a year. This one hasn’t.

If you’re trying to travel more efficiently, especially with a family, this is one of the more practical upgrades you can make.
